The Knot was an attempt at writing a Qt-based server infrastructure for KDE desktop systems, with SLP as first protocol. It is currently on hold while I am trying to design a new platform that solves the underlying problems more easily. The Knot will probably re-appear in a different form, but its current incarnation is dead. You can find the source code in the KDE CVS repository.
